How to Seamlessly & Effectively Implement Your New Brand
How to Seamlessly & Effectively Implement Your New Brand
You have a new brand! YAY! But how exactly do you implement your brand by making the switch from your old branding to the new and improved visuals?
Imagine even just one forgetful instance where you have your old logo show up after you’ve rebranded.
Uh ohhhhh!
This can confuse potential clients and customers, and may even stop them from reaching out to you! Make sure that when you make the change from your old branding to your new one, you do it so completely that everything feels smooth and intentional to your audience.
Behind-the-Scenes:
The first steps in implementing your new brand involve transitioning your brand assets from behind-the-scenes in your business. This includes saving all brand assets to a safe and easy to reference place. Remember: Having back-up copies is essential in case something happens to your computer. When saving these files, you should organize them by file type (if your designer didn’t do this for you already) so you know exactly what to use and when for every situation.
Next, you’ll want to add your new logo to your CRM, or Customer Relationship Management system. If you use a branded CRM in your business, you can confidently send out emails, proposals, contracts, invoices, client portals, etc. that all have cohesive visuals. Make sure to also update all previous document layouts with your new branding, such as freebies, pricing guides, etc. After taking care of the digital branding behind-the-scenes, you’ll finally want to order up-to-date business cards, which are important tangible marketing materials that may often be potential clients’ first impression of your brand.
On Social Media:
Don’t forget to post about your new brand on social media! This will introduce your audience to your refreshed visuals. Plus, everyone loves a good launch celebration! You’ll also want to add your logo to your social media profiles as the default profile picture. Do this for all platforms, so that there is no confusion when your audience is switching between your website, Facebook, Instagram, etc. – They will automatically know that it is you when they see your logo! Then, start using your new color palette, fonts, and logo in all of your social media post graphics. This includes setting custom branded Instagram highlight covers, as well as a branded banner to your Facebook and Twitter profiles.
On Your Website:
Your website is the main hub for your brand and likely the primary point of contact for your business, so transitioning your website to your enhanced graphics is essential. To begin implementing your new brand on your website, set your logo as your favicon, which will appear next to your URL in the address bar of a browser. Then, update the color palette and fonts on throughout your site. If you have the option to save the color codes and fonts to your website settings, doing so will save time for any future updates or additions to your site. Lastly, add your custom icons and illustrations on any pages where they are needed. After changing over all of these brand assets, your website will be the ultimate reflection of your new and improved brand!
Through PR/Networking:
One of the last steps in switching over your branding is to send your latest logo and brand assets to anywhere that your business logo is featured. Such instances would include if your business is featured on a vendor list, if you sponsor another company or charity, or if your brand is represented in any other types or promotions. After seamlessly transitioning your brand assets throughout these avenues, you can finally celebrate by sending out a newsletter to your subscribers announcing the new look of your business. Share your excitement with them! This is the perfect way to kick-off a launch celebration and spread the word about the epic revitalization of your branding.
