Plan & Brand
The first step of doing anything successfully is to think about how you’ll go about doing it. Jumping blindly into a project can cause more headaches then never starting at all!
Never bite of more than you can chew. Before you dive into building your site, plan it out. Picture in your mind’s eye how you want people to feel when they arrive on the shores of your website. How will they navigate it? What do you want to stick with them from the experience?
A suggestion for you? Map it out! Make a visual reference guide for yourself to help you breakdown each of the individual pages you’ll have available to your community and how the users will access each of these places.
Start small. Not everything has to be just right to begin with. You can always come back to something later, but you’ll never get anywhere on anything if you never begin. Perfectionism at the beginning of something can only lead to stress and disappointment. You deserve better and so does your site! Think of the purpose of your creation and lean into that as you begin.
Squarespace is a great option for getting started! I’m able to create custom Squarespace sites in as little as two weeks for clients. Whether you hire a designer or not, it can be a great solution to getting your dream online – fast.
Don’t fall into the shiny object trap either! There are so many soulless, shiny website templates that will clash with your business’s energy, throwing of the vibes and intentions of your painstakingly thought-out project. Get clear on your dreamiest business vibe and stick to that when creating your graphics.

Get Curious About Your Resistance
Let's pop the hood and take a good hard look at the culprit behind your creative block. What is it thats stopping you from launching?
Is it a fear of judgement from others?
Does putting yourself out there at risk of said judgement make you run for the hills?

Comparing yourself to others is a common culprit in the creative process block. You aren’t those people, and you should celebrate the difference in creating something never seen before! It’s great to research and reference, but letting that consume your thoughts and bring you down so low you never attempt to fulfill your dream is a disservice to yourself.
If there's a roadblock (maybe you're struggling with copy), tackle it so you can push forward (hire a copywriter). If it’s the fear of judgement and being seen online, its time to shake off those insecurities and put your best foot forward!
